Iraqi dinar – the official monetary unit in Iraq. It is subdivided into 1000 fils. The international currency code of the Iraqi dinar is IQD.

The first dinar was introduced in 1923.

The present dinar is with a series of 2003.

Banknotes in circulation have nominal values of 50, 100, 250, 500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000 and 25,000 Iraqi dinar.

Coins are in denominations of 25, 50 and 100 dinars.
